Is your child a low achiever?
Have you ever thought that your child could have concentration issues that are causing the problem? That if you took the right steps you could turn a low achiever into a high achiever? A moody child, a child with depression issues who appears lazy and unmotivated is often a clear sign of something more serious.
At my clinic, the one issue that I treat every single week is that of an under active thyroid. The majority of my teenage patients struggle to concentrate at school. It doesn’t take much to resolve these issues but it does take a good practitioner to isolate the deficiency.
Here is a list of very obvious signs of an under active thyroid
- Confusion | Brain fog | low achiever
- Lack of energy | motivation
- Slow movements and thoughts
- Muscle cramps
- Temper issues
- Muscle aches and weakness
- Brittle nails
- Brittle dry hair
- Pins and needles
- Motion sickness
- Low self esteem
- Over analysing
- Flaky skin around chin area
- Small hard spots sprinkled over forehead and or cheeks| skin congestion
By speaking with a good health practitioner, they can isolate the cause of these issues – which can be resolved very quickly once the deficiency is addressed.
A poorly functioning thyroid can be caused by a deficiency in:
- Iodine (which is rare)
- Vitamin D
A deficiency in these nutrients is often caused by low stomach acid. Most acne sufferers have low stomach acid, which means that despite eating a healthy diet they can become more and more deficient of the essential nutrients required to operate their thyroid.
It is important when selecting a good health practitioner that they work with facts. Blood testing and hair testing isolate the deficiencies quickly. When the right nutrients are introduced the difference to how your child feels is normally life changing.
Lets do what we can to give our children the very best start in life. Think differently. Take action.
